High-tech real estate platform launches!

Homeowners and buyers can now experience on-demand property viewing via video call and submit real-time offers thanks to the latest tech features released by high-tech real estate platform, List it.

Launched in 2021, List it aims to democratise the Australian real estate market by allowing buyers and sellers to connect directly via the online platform and has been backed by NSW Investment as part of their MVP Tech Start-up program.

“Our technology is what sets us apart from other real estate platforms: List it’s inbuilt features include the ability for buyers to submit live offers and negotiate directly with homeowners via the site,” says List it founder, Dominica Costello.

Costello, who has a digital marketing and web development background, created the platform after selling her Kingscliff home without an agent during COVID, landing a $1 million profit in just 2 years after purchase - saving over $43,000 in commission fees.

She armed herself with a NSW & QLD real estate license and brought together leading tech developers to build the best possible experience for buyers and sellers.

“We created a live chat and video call functionality to build trust and connection between parties, in a similar approach to social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram,” she said.

Buyers can choose to view the property in-person, via video call or via virtual-tours. When ready to make an offer, they can submit directly via the site, rather than via an agent.

“Around 90% of properties sold in Australia were first seen online, and sites like realestate.com.au and domain.com.au have millions of views a month between them, and a lot of traditional real estate agents rely on these platforms for buyers - so why not go direct?”

With rising interest rates, Costello says buyers and sellers are particularly keen to maximise savings during property transactions.

“We have over 1,300 homes currently listed on the site over the last 12 months, all of whom should expect to save between $30,000 - $100,000 when selling through List it. Your home is your biggest asset, you deserve the commission” she said.

Homeowners can simply add their contact details and address and select where they’d like to list online, ,and they will receive 3 quotes from $599 which includes automatic listing on major real estate portals realestate.com.au and Domain.com.au to maximise exposure. Premium offers include professional photography, digital marketing campaigns – and even pre-selling cleaning services.

Buyers can request free property reports outlining past sales, the estimated value and local sales for free on the site.

List it even boasts an in-built home loan service to assist with financing the purchase, utilising their video technology to meet with a mortgage broker from anywhere across Australia..

Data safety and security is paramount when creating a direct communication platform like List It.

“We’ve worked closely with our cyber security team to ensure the highest possible data protection measures, and have invested significantly to ensure the site is safe and secure for users,” she said.
