Byron Shire Council's new decision to permit dual occupancy on rural community title land applies to this near empty central Byron block
A secluded haven of immense natural beauty, this exceptional property is positioned in the tranquil surrounds of the coveted 'Woodlands Estate'. Located just 3 kms from the vibrant centre of Byron Bay and beaches, Woodlands graces 80 acres of pristine bushland and forests. Walk to The Roadhouse Cafe for a coffee, cycle to Tallow's beach for a morning surf.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase Lot 3', set on 2885m2 of serene grounds which adjoins private natural bushland. Straddling the ridge top and facing north east, Lot 3 is the original developer’s block, hence the largest block on Woodlands. As Lot 3 is one of the few vastly under-developed blocks of land in Byron Bay, there is ample room to create your dream in the jewel of the heart of "old Byron”, designed from the ground up.
Given the Byron Shire Council new decision to permit dual occupancy on rural community title [https://byron.infocouncil.biz/Open/2022/09/PLAN_08092022_AGN_1487_WEB.htm], which permits "secondary buildings" including "a second house" [https://www.echo.net.au/2022/09/rural-housing-rules-eased/], this is an excellent development opportunity.
With its elevated position on a flood-free ridgetop, behold the stunning natural landscape from the large covered timber deck. The house features a mould-resistant building design, Australian hardwood floors with raked ceilings that grace the sunlit open plan living/kitchen area. Serene master bedroom with built-ins and leafy outlook flowing to the balcony. The elevated block enjoys gentle breezes in the summer, and in the cooler weather keep warm by the cosy fireplace.
With private roads, and walking and bicycle nature trails to explore the pristine forests and bushland, Woodlands is a nature lover's dream. Enjoy all the benefits of being so close to the heart of Byron Bay, yet with the tranquil seclusion of a private countryside retreat. This is truly a very special place to call home.
